Classes start in two weeks at Haysville schools

Haysville USD 261 schools will start classes for the 2014-2015 school year on Tuesday, Aug. 12, for students in kindergarten through sixth grades and for high school freshmen, and Wednesday, Aug. 13, for students in grades 7-8 and 10-12. Campus High School students in grades 10-12 who are new to the district will report for orientation on Aug. 12.

All students are required to have a new ID card made for the new school year. Dates and times are listed when students can have new photos taken for the ID cards.

• Haysville West Middle School: New ID cards will be made in the HWMS office Aug. 5 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

• Campus High School: The main office will be open from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office will be open at different times on these dates: July 31, 7 to 11:30 a.m. only, and Aug. 8, 1 to 3:30 p.m. only.

• Haysville Middle School: ID card photos will be taken through Aug. 7. The office hours are 7 a.m. - 3 p.m., closed for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Two evenings the office will be open late for photos: July 31 from 7 to 11 a.m. and 4-8 p.m., Aug. 7 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The office will be closed Aug. 8. Students should have their new ID cards made by Aug. 7.

A community immunization clinic will be held 2-5 p.m. on Aug. 7 at The Learning Center, 150 Stewart in Haysville, hosted by the Sedgwick County Health Department. Bring a record of previous immunizations so the nurse will know what immunizations you still need. For payment, bring an insurance card or proof of income for sliding-scale fee.
