W.H. Ford, 94, passed away on Feb. 21, 2024, in Wichita. He was born on Dec. 12, 1929.

W.H. served in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked at Vulcan Materials for 30 years. He was a cherished father and husband, always prioritizing his family. W.H. had a strong faith and enjoyed attending Ninnescah Baptist Church in Clearwater and North Woodlawn Baptist Church in Derby, where he served as treasurer.

He is survived by his daughter Kimberly (Joseph) Walker of Gulfport, Miss., son Douglas (Kelly) Ford of Lakeland, Fla., and daughter Cynthia (Kenton) Connor of Lakin, Kan.; brother, Val Ford; sister, Sharon Berbert; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

W.H. was preceded in death by his wife, Vida Ford; his father, Adley Ford, and mother, Annie (Thrasher) Ford; two brothers and four sisters; and granddaughter, Katie Connor.

Visitation will be held on March 5, from 12-7 p.m. with family present from 5:30-7 p.m. at Webb-Shinkle Mortuary, Clearwater. A gravesite burial will take place on March 6 at 11 a.m. at Winfield Veterans' Cemetery, Winfield. Leave online condolences at www.shinklemortuary.com.
