Relay For Life of Western Sedgwick County is gearing up for another great event this year, with efforts focused on raising even more money for cancer research.

The first event this year leading up to the Relay For Life in July will be a Cancer Survivor Soup Feed. The soup feed is set for this Sunday, beginning at 5 p.m. at Goddard High School in the commons area.

All cancer survivors and their caregivers are invited to join the Relay For Life of Western Sedgwick County for this special event. The evening will honor cancer survivors, and provide the most up-to-date information about this year’s Relay For Life.

In addition, there also will be a Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament to benefit Relay for Life on Saturday Feb. 9 at the St. Joseph Ost Parish Hall. The tournament begins at 7 p.m., with registration and check-in at 6 p.m. To pre-register, call 316-619-1638 or email seiwert55@gmail.com.

Another important date to save is the 2013 Relay For Life Kick Off, which will be held Tuesday, Feb. 12. That event will begin at 7 p.m. at the Goddard High School Lecture Hall.
