An Argonia woman died Wednesday, March 13, in a two-vehicle wreck just east of Argonia.
Linda Haskin, 57, was pronounced dead at the scene after her westbound vehicle collided with an eastbound semi truck. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Haskin's vehicle crossed the center line and struck the semi. It then lost control and slid into the south ditch, where it hit a guard rail and flipped. The vehicle came to rest upside down in the botttom of a creek.
Two passengers with Haskins were transported to the hospital. Samantha Haskin, 21, was transferred to Via Christi on St. Francis in Wichita. Three-month old Keegan Barkley was transported to Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington.
The driver of the semi, Jeremy Perry of Valley Center, was not injured.
Linda Haskins was wearing a selt belt, and Barkley was in a child seat. Samantha Haskin was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the KHP report.
The accident happened just before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon about 1.5 miles east of Argonia.
