CONWAY SPRINGS – The Oscar Meyer Wienermobile will make an appearance Saturday in Conway Springs. The iconic hot dog-shaped vehicle – now renamed the Frankmobile – will be at Hired Man’s Grocery & Grill as part of the locally-owned grocer’s 15th anniversary celebration. Visitors will be able to see the Frankmobile between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. The new “Frankmobile” name was debuted earlier this year. The drivers, formerly named Hotdoggers, are now called Frankfurters. The first Wienermobile debuted in 1936. It was crated by Carl G. Mayer, the nephew of Oscar Meyer.
