Ed Garrison, 50, of Bucklin, died Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at St. Catherine’s of Dodge City.
He was born Sept. 16, 1973 in Wichita, the son of James and Donnie (Miller) Garrison. He was a graduate of Conway Springs High School and attended Hutchinson Community College. He married Crystal Mooney on Feb. 11, 1995, at Minneola.

Ed worked several jobs throughout his life, including working at Early Bird Lawn Care with his family for many years. He also loved to travel and transported dogs throughout the country. He also had worked as an assistant manager for Wal-Mart in Wichita and Hutchinson. They lived in Norwich for 20 years until moving to Bucklin in 2021, where he worked at Dollar General and Simply Thankful Boutique.
Ed was an avid sports fan, especially of Oklahoma University sports. In high school, they used to call him “Fast Eddy.” He was a longtime member of the Fantasy Sports League in Norwich and loved coaching his kids’ sports. He enjoyed spending his time with his family and friends, especially his grandkids. He also loved making people laugh and pulled many pranks in his life. Ed loved family game nights, especially when it was trivia. He loved history and had lots of knowledge about many topics.
Survivors include his wife, Crystal of Bucklin; their children, Ashton Crable and husband Tyler, Derian Garrison, Payton Briggs and husband Trevor, and Quenton Garrison, and bonus daughter, Araceli Wallace, all of Bucklin; his father, James Garrison, Viola; three grandchildren, Everleigh, Brexton and Kysen Crable; his brother, Richard “Birdie” Garrison and wife Linda, Clearwater; his sister, Lisa Holland and husband Mitch, Conway Springs; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Donnie Garrison; his grandparents; a sister, Sheila “Sissy” Garrison; and a grandson, Bennett Crable.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, April 22, at the Bucklin American Legion with Scott Tilley officiating. Burial will follow in the Bucklin Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. with the family present at Minnis Mortuary, Bucklin.
