Ellen Y Bishop, 70, of Kingman, passed away March 14, 2024, at Wheatlands Health Care Center in Kingman.

Ellen was born March 8, 1954, in Kingman to Bydus H. and Anna Marie Dixon Taber. She spent her early years living in Kingman, graduating from Kingman High School in 1972. Ellen later went on to earn her master’s degree in human resources from Friends University, leading her to a long career in human resources and her membership in the Society for Human Resources.

Ellen was a member of Kingman Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Howard (Herb) Bishop; three sons Michael Bishop (Jamie) of Michigan, Corey Bishop (Heidi) of Texas, and Eli Bishop (Cindy) of Arkansas; her eight grandchildren, Lukaz, Jordan, Taylor, Emma, Evan, Jenna, Ashlynn, and Ciara; three great-grandchildren, Lily, Lucy, and Kylie; and her siblings, Alan (Debra) Taber, Darren (Jody) Taber and Bryan (Randy) Taber, all of Kansas.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents and great-granddaughter, Lily Reagan Costello.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 19, at the Kingman Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, March 18, at the Livingston Funeral Home. Burial will be held at the Cleveland Cemetery.
