Jerry Lynn Falke, 78, died peacefully Oct. 25, 2023, surrounded by loved ones at his home in Clearwater. He was born June 15, 1945, in Wichita to Gerald and Amy (Kite) Falke.

Jerry graduated in 1963 from Wichita North High. He was a resident of Clearwater for more than 50 years. He held his real estate license and was active in real estate and custom homebuilding throughout central Kansas. He was an expert craftsman specializing in custom cabinetry and tile, and he owned several businesses, including Custom Woodworking and Tile, Falcon Homes, Inc., and Jerry L. Falke Construction. He retired in 2005 after 15 years as general manager of new home construction for Nies Homes.

Following retirement, he spent his free time managing his rental properties, working in his wood shop and focusing his energy on the family’s growing stable of performance horses. Jerry was an avid animal lover and had many cats and dogs throughout his life. He also enjoyed water skiing, hunting, antique firearms and volunteering for his children’s activities and teams.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Diana; and daughter, Alison Falke of Clearwater; children from his first marriage, Steven (Julia) Falke of Wichita, Deana Cassaboom of Clearwater, and Natalie (Gary) Reittinger of Dyersville, Iowa; and grandchildren, Max, Nate and Mya Reittinger. He was preceded in death by his parents; uncle, Albert Falke; two granddaughters, Samantha and Anna Cassaboom; and several aunts and uncles.

A memorial service and celebration of life are planned for 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at Clonmel Community Hall, 18402 W. 71st St. S., Viola.
