Lance E. Ross, 63, died November 29, 2023.

He was born April 16, 1960, in Kingman, the son of William T. and Geraldine Clayton Ross. He was raised in Waterloo and then Belpre, graduating from Macksville High School. On April 12, 1986, he married Julie Laber. After establishing his career at Boeing, he graduated with a quality management degree from Southwestern College. A longtime resident of Wichita and Cheney, he retired from the quality control field in the aerospace industry.

Lance attended the Church of the Holy Spirit and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic churches, both in the Wichita area. He was active in the Masonic Lodge, having been a lifetime member of North Star Lodge #168 and a Past Master of Pyramid Lodge #451, as well as holding Grand Lodge offices, including District Deputy Grand Master and Junior Steward. He also held numerous offices in the York Rite organization and was a member of the Scottish Rite. He was a Boy Scout leader for more than 10 years and volunteered for many community charity initiatives in the Wichita area.

Family, friends, and neighbors will remember him for his sense of humor, cooking skills, creative abilities, and as a dedicated husband and father.

Survivors include his wife, Julie; son, Kyle Ross; daughter, Kristen Ross; brothers, Tod Ross (Sandra) and Wally Ross; half-brother, Fred Heinlein; and many nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Visitation with the family will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 7, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, with the parish rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. A family graveside service will take place at a later date.
