Thomas Coyne Taylor, 77, passed away October 14, 2023 in Monroe, LA. He was born on March 20, 1946 in Wichita, KS to Robert E. and Mary E. Coyne Taylor. He graduated from Cheney High School in 1964 and attended Southwestern College, Winfield, KS. Tom proudly served in the Air National Guard from 1965-1970 and was on active duty for a year stationed in South Korea. He operated Pizza Huts in Scottsbluff, NE, Bismarck, ND, and Northeast Louisiana. He retired in 2003 in Monroe, LA after the sale of Pizza Hut to Pepsico. In retirement, he enjoyed boating and woodworking. He had a special place in his heart for the Ouachita River, so much so, that his friends referred to him as Skipper T.

Tom is survived by his wife of 57 years, Monica, his daughters Karen Taylor and Kristina Taylor, both of Memphis, TN., son Thomas C. Taylor, Jr. {Elisha) of Ponchatoula, LA and three grandchildren Mason, Hannah and Hailey Taylor. He is also survived by brothers Robert P. Taylor (Mary Lou) of Kingman. KS and Daniel J. Taylor {Kate) of Andover, KS and sisters Rosemary Taylor of Prairie Village, KS and Susan Taylor Bills (Phil) of Topeka. KS, sister-in-law Patti Taylor of Pensacola, FL and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael S. Taylor. Tom will be missed by his family and friends for his sarcastic humor, which was always readily available.

Interment was held at Veterans Cemetery at Rayville, Louisiana with full Military Honors.
