Victoria Ann Grow, 70, formerly of Conway Springs, passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband and family on Friday, Aug. 25, 2023.

Victoria was born Aug. 4, 1953, at Wichita to Bernard Michael “Bus” Ast and Mary Frances (Roths) Ast. She spent much of her childhood in Wichita, where she attended Madonna High School. She later moved with her family to Conway Springs and graduated from Conway Springs High School with the class of 1971.

Victoria was united in marriage to Jimmy Lee Grow on April 29, 1972, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Conway Springs. They made their home in the Conway Springs community until moving to Wichita in 2015. Victoria worked at Cessna Aircraft in Wichita as a sealer. She retired in 2005. She was a member of the Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, Wichita.

Victoria was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Dwight, Mark and Greg Ast; two sons, Mathias and Steven Grow; and one grandson, Gabriel Grow.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; sons, Christopher (Lisa) Grow, and Anthony (Sarah) Grow; her daughter, Nicole (Jeremiah) Fisher; her daughter-in-law, Sarah Grow; brothers, Gerard Ast, and Joe, John, Dan and Dave Doffing; sisters, Mary Kay Kruse, Linda Meyers, and Teresa Pauly; 23 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a number of other relatives and many friends.

Victoria was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Godmother, and friend to many. She will forever be remembered for her intense love of the Lord, steadfast faithfulness to God’s will, and absolute dedication to the church and her family.

Rosary was recited at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m., both at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 1800 S. Washington Ave, Wichita. Interment followed at 1 p.m. in St. Joseph Cemetery, Conway Springs.
