Felix A. Gorges
Felix A. Gorges, 69, retired flight mechanic for the Kansas Air National Guard and dairy farmer, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024.
He loved grandkids, motorcycles, being a Marine, hot dog roasts, visiting lakes, and dairy farming.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Rita (Rousseau) Gorges. Felix is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Kim (Vogelgesang)'; children, Andrew (Katie) Gorges of Cheney, Vanessa (Bronson) Kampling of Cheney, Melissa (Eric) Stuhlsatz of Garden Plain, Emma (Jordan) Diskin of Wichita, Alex (Alice) Gorges of Garden Plain, Laura (Ben) Bergkamp of Cheney, Anna (Nick) Gehring of Wichita, and Leah (Ryan) Acton of Wichita; siblings, Albert (Colette) Gorges of Wichita, Fred (Chris) Gorges of Clearwater, Annette (Dennis) McAtee of Tulsa, Okla., Mary (Doug) Kohls of Clearwater, Matt (Diane) Gorges of Boswell, Okla., Bernadette (Kavin) Cordell of Viola, Monica (Martin) Maus of Viola, the Rev. Bernie Gorges of Ost, Bill Gorges, Jr. (Jody) of Viola, and Joe (Kathy) Gorges of Colwich; and 24 grandchildren plus two on the way.
Recitation of the rosary was said at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 27, and the funeral Mass was on Tuesday, May 28, at 10:30 a.m., both at St. Mary Catholic Church, Aleppo, 25741 W. 13th St. N., Garden Plain. Father Bernard X. Gorges was the celebrant.
