Catherine Rose Dooley, 84, retired kitchen manager for Garden Plain High School, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. She was born on April 25, 1940, to Frank and Virginia (Kudek) Gappa in El Reno, Okla.

She was preceded in death by Joe Dooley, and brothers, Vincent, Francis Paul and Tony Gappa. Catherine is survived by her children, Steve (Cyndi) Dooley, Debbie (Brian) Pauly, Phil (Shelly) Dooley and Janette (Dane) Childs; sister, Mary Gappa; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren with two on the way.

Recitation of the rosary will be said at 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, with a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 3, both at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Garden Plain.
