Steven Frederick Twietmeyer, 69, loving father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, died Saturday, July 13, 2024.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, July 19, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at Ascension Lutheran Church.
Steve was a Cheney and west Wichita dentist for more than 30 years. A proud Kansas State University alumnus, Steve was a passionate KSU sports fan and season ticket holder. He was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity and remained actively involved until his death. He loved bowl games, beach vacations, and his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Twietmeyer, and stepfather, Bill Perry. He is survived by his mother, Sharon Mae Perry; daughter, Libby (Marcus) Rivera of Wichita; son, Charles Durst Twietmeyer of Wichita; grandchildren, Scott D. Twietmeyer and Leighton M. Twietmeyer; sister, Cynthia “Cyndi” Gallagher of Overland Park; nephew, Dr. Creighton Gallagher; and dog, Dallas.
A memorial has been established with the Spencer Patrick Gallagher Memorial Scholarship, c/o Kansas State University Foundation, 1800 Kimball Ave. #200, Manhattan, KS 66502.
