Antonya “Toni” Hullinger, 59, was a loving wife, mother, daughter, teacher and friend. She left this earth Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice at Ascension Via Christi-St. Francis, Wichita.
Toni was born on Feb. 2, 1965, to Shirley Evans. She grew up in Santa Monica, Calif., and graduated from Santa Monica High School in 1983. She received her bachelor of science degree in English education from Northern Arizona University in 1989. Toni’s first teaching job was in Gallup, N.M., at Gallup Middle School, where she met her husband, Gregg Hullinger.
Toni and Gregg were married on June 9, 1990, and were blessed with four children: Allison, Courtney, Molly, and Wesley. Toni and Gregg moved to Conway Springs in June 1996, where Toni ran a daycare called Toni’s Tots Childcare for seven years.
In 2003, she returned to teaching middle school language arts at St. Marks School for Renwick USD 267. She retired from teaching in 2023 with over 20 years in education. She recently began working at the Conway Bank in Argonia. 
Toni was very active in the Conway Springs Methodist Church, where she served on many committees. She also was very involved in the Conway Springs community. She was a member of the Inter-Church Council, and director of Mission Mart, Angel Tree and Vacation Bible School. She was a member of the Busy and Productive Women’s group and delivered for Conway Springs Friendship Meals. Toni was always ready to help anyone and made the world a groovier place.
Toni is survived by her husband, Gregg Hullinger; children, Allison Sowards (Bryan), Courtney Hullinger (Ryan Chramosta), Molly Vowell (Caleb), and Wesley Hullinger; her mother, Shirley Evans; brothers-in-law, Garrison Hullinger and J Jones; aunt, Carol Boyer (John); uncles, Frank Maguire, Jim Wood; siblings, Donna Evans, Dougie Evans (Caroline), and Danny Evans; niece, Trillium Evans; and many wonderful cousins.
Toni was preceded in death by her cousins, John Patrick Boyer and David Wood, and aunt, Patricia Wood.
A visitation with the family present was held 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the Methodist Church, Conway Springs. Funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at Pathway Church, 2001 N. Maize Rd, Wichita. Graveside committal service will be at 2:30 p.m. in Spring Hill Cemetery, southwest of Conway Springs.
