Pamela Jo (Hegi) Adams, 67, of Norwich, died Friday, Aug. 23, 2024, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

Pam was born Aug. 22, 1957, in Wichita to Billy Carrol and Aletha (Russell) Hegi. She grew up in Wichita, where she attended Wichita public schools. She attended Wichita North High School until her junior year, when she left to begin working and start a family. She later went back and received her GED in 1981.

Pam was united in marriage to Michael Gene Adams on Aug. 30, 1975 in Wichita. They made their home in Wichita for a short time before moving to Norwich. She worked at Cessna Aircraft for eight years and CW Feed for four years before taking off to raise her two boys. During that time, she did some part-time work as an editor for Norwich News.

She was a council member for the city of Norwich for several years and then the mayor of Norwich. She truly developed a love for sewing, mostly altering prom, wedding and fashion dresses. Later on, she became the human resource manager for Farrar Corporation until 2011, and the last 10 years at Exhibit Arts as the human resource manager as well.

Pam was a member of the First Baptist Church in Milton. Pam was a certified EMT and was a past member of the Norwich Volunteer Ambulance Service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Chris Hegi and Daniel Hegi.

Survivors include two sons, Jeremy (Kari) Adams of Norwich, and Nathan (Katie) Adams of Norwich; two sisters, Laurie Testerman (John) of Neosho, Mo., and Paula Parsons of Mt. Vernon, Mo.; six grandchildren, Kierstin, Lucas, Nicole, Tenley, Payton and Makenna; and a number of other relatives and many friends.

Celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at the First Baptist Church, Milton.
