Herb Page
Herb Page, 84, of Rose Hill, formerly of Conway Springs and Andover, passed away Friday, Oct. 18, 2024.
Herb was born June 14, 1940, in Wichita to Paul McDuffy Page and Irene Erma (Simon) Page. He grew up in the Conway Springs community and attended the local public schools. He began working at a very young age on the family farm.
Herb was united in marriage to Carol Agnes Freund on Nov. 27, 1963, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Wichita. They made their home in Conway Springs and Houston, Texas.
Herb began working in the masonry business before resuming to operate the family dairy southwest of Conway Springs. He later returned to work for Brown and Root Masonry in Houston before starting his own business known as Herb Page Masonry. He and Carol moved to Andover from Conway Springs in 2005, and to Rose Hill in March of 2023.
Herb was preceded in death by his parents; four siblings, Paul, Pete and Patricia Jenkins and infant Peter Page; and four children, Kevin, Stacey, Dawn and Jeff Page.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Page; his children, Shelley Page of Wichita; John Page (Kristina) of Benton, Jarrod Page (Lisa) of Andover, and twin sisters Joyce Ward (Rodney) of Wichita, and Janice O’Brien of Winfield; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. followed by funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Conway Springs, with Father Kyle Dugan as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Conway Springs.
