Marvin LeRoy Wilson, Jr., 88, of Cheney, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, in Wichita.

He was born Oct. 6, 1936, in Kingman, the son of Marvin LeRoy, Sr., and Lyndal Mae Loomis Wilson. A longtime resident of Kingman County, with time spent in South Dakota and Colorado, he was a farmer and stockman.

On Aug. 9, 1959, LeRoy married Linda Valk at Cheney Methodist Church in Cheney.

Other survivors include son, Chris; daughters, Susan (Rick) Ruhmann and Betsy Ellen Wilson; brother, Gary; sisters, Dixie (Dean) Bibles and Sondra Russell; grandchildren, Zach and Colton Smarsh, Caitlin (Andrew) Ludwick, and Maci (Matt) Fraser; and great-grandsons Barrett, Bowen and Henry Ludwick.

LeRoy, a lifelong farmer, had a deep interest in the stock market, and enjoyed Western TV shows and movies.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, at Cheney Methodist Church. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Cheney. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be made with Cheney Methodist Church in care of Livingston Funeral Home.
