Stanley Dean Tull
Stanley Dean Tull, 84, of Shell Knob, Mo., retired Boeing Aircraft quality control manager, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024, at Roaring River Health and Rehabilitation, Cassville, Mo.
He was born March 30, 1940, at Milton, Kan., to Hugh Lee Tull and Roberta (Olmstead) Tull. He grew up in the Milton community and attended Milton schools. He graduated from Milton High School with the class of 1958 before entering the U.S. Army as a military police officer. He proudly served his country in Germany during the Vietnam Conflict.
Dean was united in marriage to Joan Marie (Wolf) Rowan on Oct. 21, 1967, in Norwich Church of Christ, Norwich. They made their first home in the Milton United Methodist Church parsonage before moving to Goddard. They later lived in the cities of Wichita and Cheney. They moved to Shell Knob, Mo., from Wichita in 1998.
Dean began working for Farrar’s Machine Shop in Norwich following his honorable discharge and later for Cheney Investment as a loan officer. He worked for the Coleman Company in Wichita and eventually entered the aircraft industry at Boeing. Dean worked in quality control and ultimately became a quality manager before his retirement on June 2, 1995.
Dean became an active member of Lohmer Full Gospel Church, Shell Knob, Mo. He had served as union steward as a member of the International Aerospace Machinist Union and was past president of the Boeing Motorcycle Club in Wichita.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Billy Tull and Elbert Tull; and his step-daughter, Deena Jo Rowan.
Dean is survived by his wife, Joan Tull; one son, Bradley Dean Tull of Wichita; one sister, Carol Barnes of Norwich; four grandchildren, Dusty Marie Euler, Tyler Nathan Tull, KC’lynn Marie Nash, and Arionna Ty’lynn Tull; two great-grandchildren, Elijah and Atlas; and a number of other relatives and many friends.
Visitation with family will be from 10 to 11 a.m. with funeral service following at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025 at Milton Methodist Church, Milton, with Pastor Byoung Lee and Pastor Kendal Utt officiating. Interment will be in Eden Cemetery, Milton.
