Madonna “Lou” Cook was born Aug. 21, 1936, and passed away on Dec. 30, 2024.

Lou Cook was a fun loving, kindhearted, spicy lady. She and her husband made their home in west Wichita after surviving a direct hit by the Joplin tornado.

She was creative and generous with her talents and her love. She continued to make craft items even after losing all her sight. She told stories and jokes that entertained everyone.

She was married to Kenneth James Cook for 45 years. She had a partner who could keep up with her sharp wit.

She leaves behind her husband, Kenny; her daughter, Lisa Stoller of Wichita; and stepdaughter, Deb Williams of Portland, Ore. Her grandchildren are spread around the country.

We will always remember the laughter and her loving warmth that touched so many. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
