Beverly Zoglmann, 88, died Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Spring View Manor, Conway Springs.

 

Beverly was born March 16, 1937, southeast of Conway Springs to Monta Gordon Benge and Elizabeth Mae (Sones) Benge. She attended Prairie Valley Country School for two years, and the Mayfield School for two years, before the family moved into Conway Springs during her fourth-grade year in 1947. She attended Conway Springs public schools and graduated from Conway Springs High School with the class of 1956.

She began working at Woolworths in Wellington. Beverly was united in marriage to Cletus Joseph Zoglmann on Nov. 9, 1957 in Wichita, and to this union three children were born: Deanna, Mike and Kenny. They lived and raised their family on a farm southwest of Conway Springs.

Beverly worked with Social Rehabilitation Services from April 1979 to July 1996. She continued her career at Sumner County Health Department as a certified nurses aidd and home health aidd until medically retiring in 2005. Cletus passed away on Nov. 29, 2020.

Beverly was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Conway Springs, and the Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Ilene Woods, Virginia Wilcox, Shirley Tarrant and Donna Cook; and one brother, Melvin Benge.

Beverly is survived by her daughter, Deanna Dent (Tom) of Clearwater; two sons, Mike Zoglmann and Kenny Zoglmann (Dawnel) of Conway Springs; one brother, Terry Benge of Conway Springs; two sisters, Sharon Carter of Olathe, and Debra Pauly of Viola; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Conway Springs, with Father Kyle Dugan as Celebrant. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday, March 24, also at the church. Interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Conway Springs.
