Clara McIver, 91, died with her family by her side on Aug. 27, 2025, at Cheney Golden Age Home. She was Feb. 8, 1934, to William and Dena Sheffield in Plankinton, S.D. She married Walter "Pete" McIver on Sept. 30, 1960. 

She is survived by her daughters, Laurel Rackley, Dana (Dan) Eye, Jana McIver, Kim (Wayne) Angleton, and Darcy (Craig) Harkcom; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law; and two brothers-in-law. 

Service will be at Wulf-Ast Mortuary (911 Biermann, Garden Plain) on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 11 a.m., with family present at 10:00 for a visitation. Clara will lie in state at Wulf-Ast Mortuary on Tuesday, Sept. 2, from 2 to 4 p.m.
