Donald Gene Bramwell
Donald Gene Bramwell, 85, passed away on Dec. 8, 2025, surrounded by family. He was born Sept. 24, 1940, to Howard (Steve) and Francis Bramwell.
Don lived a bold, accomplished life – as a hunter, hot-rod enthusiast, DEA agent, and later a wildcatter who founded several drilling and petroleum companies. He also was a respected English Springer Spaniel trainer, earning numerous champions, including his beloved Miss American Pie, and was inducted with his wife, Pat, into the 2019 National Bird Dog Hall of Fame. Don was further honored with the 2025 English Springer Spaniel Field Trial Association Lifetime Achievement.
He cherished time with his family, especially gathering for laughter, Trivial Pursuit, hunting and camping.
Don is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patricia; children, Chris (Steve) Hanner, Donna Fletcher, Doug (Judy) Bramwell, and Jonathen Bramwell; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David; and daughter, Beverly.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 13, at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Nichols Cemetery outside of Zenda.
