Sandra Kay Adams, 89, of Conway Springs, died Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Ascension Via Christi-St. Theresa, Wichita.

Sandra was born April 30, 1937 at Bartlesville, Okla., to Gordon Fowler and Grace (Lary) Fowler. She grew up in Bartlesville, where she attended the local public schools.

Sandra was united in marriage to Raymond Clifford Adams on Sept. 26, 1954. They made their first home in Bartlesville. They later came to Wichita in the early 1960s before moving to Emporia in 1977. Raymond passed away Feb. 27, 2007. Sandra moved to Conway Springs in 2021.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Donald Vance Adams and Steven Ray Adams; and siblings, Lary Jean Schoneberg and Jack Fowler.

Sandra is survived her by children, Suzanna Gerlach (Jim) of Conway Springs, Rebecca Ensley (Jim) of Topeka, and Jeffrey Adams (Lisa) of Emporia; sisters, Judy Pulliam and Diana Fowler, both of Bartlesville; grandchildren, Jennifer Koster (Jarrod), Lindsey Friess (Rob), Tracey Brown (Gregory), Clifford Adams, Eric Gerlach (Jessie), Tonya Shinn (Fred), Michael Charland, Michael Prock (Brianna), Christopher Prock (Kelly), and Stephanie Redding (Mack). She also leaves 28 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.

There will be no services per Sandra’s request. Cremation has been effected.
