Donald A. Berntsen, age 88, of Clearwater, general construction, passed away on Friday, Dec. 6, 2024.
Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10 and funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, both at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Clonmel.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria (Batemon) Berntsen; parents, William and Ruby (Chapman) Berntsen; son, Donald “Wayne” Berntsen; brother, Charles Berntsen II; and sons-in-law, David Horsley and Jim Dixon.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Berntsen of Clearwater; children, Barbara (Aaron) Ashel of Wichita, Matt (Jane) Berntsen of Conway Springs, Brandy (Michelle) Berntsen of Conway Springs, Robin Dixon of Moline, Lyle (Vickie) Berntsen of Clearwater, Bruce (Lisa) Berntsen of Clearwater, and Andrew (Jamie) Berntsen of Augusta; daughter-in-law, Tami Berntsen of Clearwater; 36 grandchildren; and 51 great-grandchildren.
