Eric J. Plush, 55, of Wichita, died Thursday, June 20, 2024 in Wichita.

Eric was born June 16, 1969 at Wichita, the oldest son of Richard Duane “Dick” Plush and Barbara Lynn (Burford) Plush. He grew up in Wichita and attended Wichita public schools. He graduated from Northwest High School with the class of 1988 before continuing his education at Butler Community College, where he played football for two years.

Eric began working for USD 259 in the maintenance department. Years later he worked for Walmart before unfortunately becoming disabled.

Eric was baptized in the Milton United Methodist Church, Milton. He was an active member of Masonic Home Lodge No. 450 and later North Star Lodge No. 168 A.F & A.M. Wichita.

Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lewis and Virginia Burford, and Warren and Alberta Plush; his aunt, Brenda Brewer; his aunt, Barbara Wohlford; and his father, Richard Plush.

Eric is survived by his mother, Barbara Plush; one brother, Brandon Plush; his uncle, Brent Burford; and his aunt Bobbi Kaspar, all of Wichita; his aunt, Dixie Cornelius of Garden City; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Visitation with family will be from 10 to 11 a.m. with funeral service following at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 27, at the Milton Methodist Church, Milton, with Pastor Byoung Lee and Pastor Kendal Utt officiating. Interment will be in Eden Cemetery, Milton.
