Gay Diane Gower, of Cheney, 72, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023, after suffering cardiac arrest on May 9. She was born Aug. 22, 1950, to Henry and Doris Sovereign Stoll in Wichita, Kansas. She is preceded in death by her mother; sister, Sue Stoll McCarty; husband, Mike Gower; and daughter, Melanie Diane Gower.

She is survived by her father, Henry Stoll of Cheney; daughter, Kimberly Rowley of Wichita; son, Tim Gower of Cheney; sisters-in-law, Laurie (Jeff) Davis of Manhattan, Kan., and Susan (Everett) Carter of Hazel Green, Ala.; grandchildren, Korina and Kade Rowley, Meridith and Mason Albers, and Dustin, Ethan, Leland, and Landon Gower; six nieces and nephews; and numerous extended family members.

Funeral service was at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 3, at Cheney Baptist Church, 1502 N. Main, Cheney.

Viewing and visitation will be prior to service at the church from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. Graveside service followed at Pioneer Cemetery, Cheney.

Memorials may be made to the Cheney Baptist Church.
