Gerald Dean Blomstedt, 79, passed away on Sept. 4, 2023. Gerald was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force and then worked for Cessna as a superintendent of the flight line in Wichita.

Gerald was married to Maria Blomstedt and had three children, Eva, Christopher and Ryan.

Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Helen Blomstedt; sisters, Genevieve Stephenson and Velma Blomstedt; and brothers, infant Eldon Blomstedt and Eldon Blomstedt. He is survived by wife, Maria Blomstedt; daughter, Eva Louis; sons, Christopher Blomstedt and Ryan (Kim) Blomstedt; grandchildren, Dantes Louis, Chantee Louis, William Blomstedt and Elexis Blomstedt; and brothers, Marvin and Dennis Blomstedt.

A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 8, at St. Rose Catholic Church 4813 NE 150th Ave. Cheney, KS 67025. The funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. A graveside service will take place in St. Louis Cemetery, Waterloo, Kan.
