Body

Glenna Lou Jesseph, 89, was born on June 19, 1935, in Burns, Kan., and passed away on Oct. 21, 2024 in Bowie, Texas. Glenna, a thoughtful, talented, loyal, and reliable woman, left a mark on every life she touched.
Glenna, a former Milan resident, was employed in the aircraft industry and retired from Cessna Aircraft in 2000 after a nearly 20-year career. Despite her professional success, Glenna's true joy lay in her hobbies and family. Her fondness for sewing, quilting, and doll collecting brought her immense happiness, as did baking her famous cinnamon rolls that were a staple at family gatherings. Her love for gardening was evident in her cherished heirloom peonies, which she transplanted to her children's gardens.
Glenna was an avid traveler, taking bus trips across the U.S.A and visiting Europe to see her family's homeland of Germany. Her playful spirit was evident in her love for playing Mexican dominoes and pitch, even though she was not particularly good at either. Faith was a cornerstone in Glenna's life and she developed her love for others through dedicated attendance and service to the Plains Church of Argonia.
Glenna was a remarkable woman whose greatest joy was staying connected with family and friends. Over the years, she made it a priority to attend her children and grandchildren's events as well as maintaining a connection with her colleagues and classmates. She looked forward to her various Burns High School reunions over the years, where she could connect with those who held a special place in her heart. Although she and her former husband, Charles Jesseph, separated, Glenna always appreciated the love and kindness the Jesseph family showed her over the years. After her health began to decline, she relocated to Texas eight years ago, where she was able to enjoy precious moments and memories with her Texas family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Althea Hermann; sister, Rose Mary Millican and her husband Auzzie; along with her ex-husband, Charles Jesseph.
Glenna is survived by her son, Keith Jesseph of Sunset, Texas; daughter, Linda Anderson and husband Michael of Sunset, Texas; son, Larry Jesseph and wife Sharon of Bartlesville, Okla.; son, and Mark Jesseph and wife Michelle of Goddard; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; along with nieces, nephews and their families.
A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24. Her family will be present during this time to receive friends.
Funeral service for Glenna will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at the Plains Church, 102 North Argonia Road, Argonia. Interment will follow at the Milan Cemetery, Milan.
