Jeffrey Scot Beauchamp
Jeffrey Scot Beauchamp, 62, passed away on Aug. 14, 2023. He was born to Billy Ray and Don Beauchamp on April 28, 1961, in Wichita. Jeff graduated from Cheney High School in 1979. He joined the U.S. Army in 1984 and served in the 82nd Airborne Division out of Fort Bragg, N.C.
While stationed in Stuttgart, Germany, his daughter, Sydnee, was born. Jeff was honorably discharged in 1994. Following his military service, Jeff worked in the oil fields across the United States. Starting his career as a roughneck and driller in Kansas, he advanced to horizontal drilling supervisor and spent years in North Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas. Later in life, he owned and operated Advanced Systems Basement & Foundation Repair out of Garden Plain.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Billy Ray (Brown) Beauchamp. He is survived by his daughter, Sydnee (Beauchamp) Towning and her husband, David; his father and stepmother, Don and Linda Beauchamp; his sister, Toni Beauchamp; his brother, Craig Beauchamp; his stepbrother, Troy Bailey; and his stepsister, Brenda (Bailey) Corey.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at the Wulf-Ast Mortuary Chapel in Garden Plain. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Cheney. Following the burial, dinner will be held at the Cheney Baptist Church in Cheney.
