It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Mom, JoAnn Thimmesch, age 89, on Jan 21, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. A devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, she touched countless lives with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering spirit.

She was born on Aug. 28,1935, in Cheney. JoAnn lived a life rich in love and purpose. She dedicated herself to her family, ensuring that her home was always filled with laughter, compassion and cherished memories. Her strength and grace were unmatched, and her love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was boundless.

She had an innate ability to make those around her feel valued and loved, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she met.

She is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Vince) Albert, Tonya Buche, and Linda Ricketts; grandsons, Jon (April) Albert, Jeremy (Michelle) Albert, Justin (Emma) Albert, Colby (Lacey Bolen) Standefer, and Drake (Megan) Standefer; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Bill (Linda) Black; and fur-baby, Susie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Pearl Black; husband, Leon Thimmesch; son, Dale; grandson, Tanner Standefer; and companion, Duane Wiechman.

Rosary was held at 7 p.m. Jan 31, and funeral Mass was at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb 1, both at St Anthony’s Church in Garden Plain.
