Joyce E. Reynolds, 90, of Argonia, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Stafford County Hospital, Stafford, Kansas.

Joyce was born Dec. 11, 1934 at Attica to Glenn and Minnie (Fletcher) Clark. She moved with her family to Argonia at the start of the third grade. She graduated from Argonia High School with the class of 1952. She began working a short time as a secretary for an optometrist in Wellington before returning as secretary at Argonia High School. A year later, Joyce moved to Wichita and got a job in the office at the WT Grant Company Department Store. Several years later she began working in the IBM department at Watkins Incorporated, a small steel fabricating company.

Joyce was united in marriage to Kenneth Olin Reynolds on Sept. 9, 1956, in Argonia. They made their home in Milan and then moved their house to lots they purchased across the street from Joyce’s parents in Argonia.

Joyce later worked for 13 years at the Farmer’s and Merchant’s State Bank before she and Kenny, along with Jack and Ilene Wert, built the Four Seasons Restaurant.

Joyce loved Argonia and was very proud of her community. She was a member of the Argonia United Methodist Church and served as an EMT on the Argonia Volunteer Ambulance for more than 12 years. She was a member of the Argonia Frontier Association and on the Chikaskia Senior Center Board for many years. Joyce served on the Argonia City Council, was on the Pride Committee and was active on the local Argonia Park Board. She adored Argonia and enjoyed doing whatever she could to improve her little town.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and two brothers, Richard Clark and Glenn Clark.

She is survived by her children, Rhonda McClure and husband Jon of Stafford, and Rex Reynolds and wife Renee of Mount Hope; grandchildren: Dustin McClure and wife Lauren, Derek McClure and wife Ellie, Tessa Cox and husband Christian, Cale Reynolds and fiancé Audrey, and Ashton Quaney and husband Mark; three great-grandchildren, Nash, Maren and Mac; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, at the Argonia United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joy Lenz, officiating. Interment was in Argonia Cemetery, Argonia.
