Body

Kenneth Eugene Bradfield, of Argonia, passed away at his home on Monday, March 23, 2026, at the age of 67.
Ken was born the son of James and Geneva (Robertson) Bradfield on Dec. 11, 1958, in Wichita.
On July 26, 1980, Ken and Rita Richey were united in marriage and together celebrated nearly 46 wonderful years together. Ken was a man who touched the lives of many with his love for music, his unique knowledge, and his enduring spirit. He was a man of many passions, from his lifelong devotion to music education to his fervent support for his favorite sports teams, dedicating his life to the nurturing of music in the hearts of his students as a band director.
Ken was a man of many layers. His seemingly inexhaustible reservoir of what some might have called "useless" knowledge was anything but; it shone brightly during games of Jeopardy or Trivial Pursuit, drawing laughs and smiles from those around him. His love for sports was contagious, particularly his support for the WSU Shockers, Kansas City Chiefs, St. Louis Cardinals, and Los Angeles Lakers. He was a lover of Mexican food, indulging in it as often as he could. Ken's heart held a special place for his beloved Yorkie puppies, whom he adored as if they were his own children.
Ken is survived by his loving wife, Rita Bradfield; brother, Timothy Bradfield; niece, Valarie (Jared) Criner; nephews, Bryan (Jerry) Bradfield and Brandon (Cassie) Bradfield; and eight great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Geneva Bradfield, and grandparents, Ezra and Martha Bradfield, and Samuel "Boss" and Gertha Robertson.
A visitation will be held for Kenneth Bradfield on Monday, March 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cornejo Funeral Home and Crematory, 1030 Mission Road, Wellington. To honor Ken, the family would like all who attend to wear their favorite team's apparel.
