Larry Jacobs 79, died Wednesday, May 31, 2023. He was born Sept. 28, 1943, in Wichita to Peter and Mary (Schnieder) Jacobs.

Larry was a seabee in the U.S. Navy and a retired Boeing machinist. His hobbies included camping, fishing, gardening, and attending grandkids' ball games, and he was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, six sisters, eight brothers and grandson, Drew Scott.

Larry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Brenda (Vaughn) Jacobs of Haysville. Also surviving are his children, Amy Holt (Greg), Matt Jacobs (Melinda) and Wade Jacobs (Carrie); 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters and one brother.
Visitation was Sunday, June 4, from 2 to 6 p.m., with the family being present at Smith Mortuary – Haysville, 7031 S. Broadway, Haysville, Kansas 67060.
Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 9, at Mercy Hill Church, 2110 W. 45th St. S., Wichita.
