Larry W. Tull, 86, of Conway Springs, died Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Spring View Manor, Conway Springs.

He was born Feb. 9, 1938, at Kincaid, Kan., to Frank Morrow Tull and Ollie Pearl (Engelman) Tull. Larry attended elementary school in Waverly, Kan., before moving with his family to Conway Springs at the age of 8 years. He attended Conway Springs Public Schools and Conway Springs High School. He began working as a young man at his father’s service station in Conway Springs.

Larry was united in marriage to Ila Marlene Scammehorn on June 25, 1960, at the Norwich Christian Church, Norwich. They made their home in Conway Springs where they raised their family of two children.

Larry worked for the Coleman Company in Wichita as a forklift driver. He retired after 36 years with the company. Marlene passed away June 7, 2009.

Larry also was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Raymond Tull, Sr.

He is survived by one son, Lawrence Tull of Conway Springs; one daughter, Pamela Coley of Argonia; one brother, Dale Tull of Walnut, Calif.; two sisters, Alvena King of Conway Springs, and Marie Pettegrew of Mesa, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren, Corey Cessna, Denver Boatwright, Mason Coley, Chelsea Reed, Brook Boatwright, Sasha Cessna, Calista Tull, Keara Tull, Cheyanne Tull, and Mylah Tull; 17 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, at First Christian Church, Conway Springs, with Wayne Stephens, officiating. Interment will follow in Conway Springs Cemetery.
