Letha Fern Roets, born at Eureka, Kan., on Nov. 30, 1938, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026, in Wichita. She was 87 years old and resided in Goddard.
She was widowed when her husband of a 61-year-marriage died on July 4, 2017. Surviving are her daughter, Letha Nelson, two grandchildren, Levi Nelson and Daniel C. Roets, and one great-grandchildren; son, George C. Roets, Jr., two grandchildren, Davie Roets and Regina Maxwell, and three great-grandchildren; daughter, Diana Davis, and one grand child, Robert Davis; son, Daniel W. Roets, two step-grandchildren, Heather Hutchinson and Casey Murphy, one great-grandchild, and three great-great-grandchildren; daughter, Debra McCleary, and one grandchild, Ryan McCleary; two sisters, Martha Lord and Bonne Beloite; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Charles Roets, Sr.; parents, Charles Caylor and Lillit (Dosey) Caylor; sisters, Marion Howard, Betty Petrie Margaret Hamby and Donna Stahl; brother, Charles Caylor; and aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and sisters- and brothers-in-law.
Letha was sunshine in the lives of many people, and will be missed daily. Rest in the love of Jesus, dear sweet lady.
