Lois Marie Howard, 89, formerly of Wichita, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Promenade Health and Rehab, Rogers, Ark.

She was born Feb. 14, 1935 in Chetopa, Kan., the daughter of Alvin R. Fooshee and Eva (Reeder) Fooshee.

Lois was member of the First United Methodist Church in Rogers.

She was preceded in death by both her parents; husband, James T. Howard; and one daughter, Rhonda Gayle Howard.

Lois is survived by her four remaining children, Wayne Eugene Howard of Winfield, Deborah Gruber of Tampa, Fla., Connie Elliott of Yulee, Fla., and Kathy Clark of Rogers, Arkansas; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 1, in Fairview Cemetery, Cheney, with Pastor Kendal Utt officiating. A luncheon reception will follow at the Cheney Methodist Church. Ebersole Mortuary, Conway Springs is in charge of local arrangements. The family has suggested that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Lois to the Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnels to Towers.
