Body

Marcia Joan (Davis) Stuhlsatz, 75, passed away peacefully, Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, at her home in Mayfield, surrounded by her family.

Born June 29, 1950, in Wichita to Ralph and Jeraldyn Davis, Marcia was raised in Conway Springs. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School and graduated from Conway Springs High School in 1968.

At the age of 15, Marcia met the love of her life, Jim Stuhlsatz. They were married on July 20, 1968, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, just two months after her high school graduation, and shared 57 dedicated years together.

Marcia’s greatest joy was her role as a wife, mother and homemaker. She worked alongside Jim as a bookkeeper and farm partner, fully capable of driving equipment, vaccinating livestock, and managing the operation. As Jim often said, if he was gone, she and the kids could run the farm.

She was devoted to her Catholic faith. Marcia volunteered at the parish school, assisted in the cafeteria, and supported countless activities with her time and talent.

In her years of retirement, she loved cooking, quilting, and crafting homemade birthday cards to be sent out to all her family and friends.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, Bill and Dan Davis.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jim Stuhlsatz; two sons, David (Tonya) Stuhlsatz and Dan (Lila) Stuhlsatz, and one daughter, Jamie (Clint) Lange, all of Conway Springs; three brothers, Don Davis of Darlington, Wisc., Daryl Davis of Wichita, and Richard Davis of Mulvane; three sisters, Nancy Frazier of Golden Creek Terrace, Fla., and Gracie Fisher and Deanna Knee of Conway Springs; 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.

Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, and memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, both at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Conway Springs, with Father Kyle Dugan as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Conway Springs.

Arrangements are by Ebersole Mortuary, Conway Springs. Online condolences and guest book are available at www.ebersolemortuary.com.

Memorials have been established to St. Joseph Catholic School and Interim HealthCare Hospice.
