Marion Leo Bishop, 97, retired minister, went home to be with our Lord on Dec. 27, 2025. 

He was born on Aug. 9, 1928, in Freedom, Okla., to Earl and Etta Worley Bishop. On Jan. 30, 1955, he and Donna Mae Peacock were united in marriage in Cheney, Kan. 

Preceding him in death are his parents; siblings, Georgia Houghton, Mary Clark, Lura Mae Hartzell, Ruth Sullivan, Naomi Holloway, William Bishop, Ernest Bishop, Virgil Bishop, and Bob Bishop. Marion is survived by his wife, Donna Mae; children, Glenna Bishop, Nancy (Rodney) Plute, Marcus (Janna) Bishop, Christine (Glenn) Bradberry, Richard Bishop, and Stephen (Jennifer) Bishop; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 3:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, at Wulf-Ast Mortuary, 911 Biermann, Garden Plain. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, at Central Community Church Chapel, 6100 W. Maple, Wichita. Viewing at the church prior to service will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m., at Pioneer Cemetery, Cheney.
