Ralph Edwin Dewey
Ralph Edwin Dewey, 89, passed away May 31, 2026, at Via Christi St. Teresa, Wichita.
He was born March 11, 1937, in Wichita, the son of W.B. “Bill” and Annie B. Krase Dewey. A lifetime resident of eastern Kingman County, he was a rancher known for excellent black Angus cattle and as a farmer.
Ralph was a member of the Methodist Church; a former member of the Vinita Township Board; served in the National Guard; and was a former 4-H leader.
On Dec. 27, 1959, he married Marianne Sowers at the Murdock Methodist Church. Other survivors include their son, Van Dewey and his wife, Donna; daughter, Deena Holder and her husband, Dell; brother, Dee Dewey; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 6, at the Norwich Methodist Church. Friends are encouraged to wear casual western attire. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, June 5, at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Burial will be in the Vinita Cemetery, located west of Cheney.
