Richard Bloomer, age 86, of Clearwater, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023.
Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, July 23, with family present from 2-4 p.m. at Webb-Shinkle Mortuary, Clearwater. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 23, funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Monday, July 24, both at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Schulte.
Richard was born Aug. 16, 1936 in Hutchinson. Richard married his high school sweetheart, Jane F. Kountz, on Jan. 26, 1957, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Hutchinson.
He was preceded in death by wife, Jane (Kountz) Bloomer; parents, Wilson and Jewell (Alumbaugh) Bloomer; infant son, James R. Bloomer; and son, Keith A. Bloomer.
Survivors include his children, Nancy Quaney of Wichita, Paul Bloomer of Clearwater, Brian Bloomer of Phoenix, Ariz., and Amy (Jason) O’Byrne of Wichita; sister, Colleen Thaxton of Greeley, Colo.; brother, Alan Bloomer of Clearwater; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
