Richard Forrest, Jr., 95, of Argonia, passed away on July 21, 2026. Richard was born March 29, 1931, just north of Argonia in a farmhouse. He was one of the five sons of Richard "Dick" S. and Lula (Bland) Forrest. He married Wanda Raine and they shared 78 years of marriage before her passing on Nov. 25, 2025.
We invite all those who knew Richard and Wanda to a shared time of remembrance on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cornejo Funeral Home, Wellington. This is a come-and-go event honoring both Richard and Wanda, where guests can sign the register, enjoy a video tribute, and share memories. A private family burial will be held at the Argonia Cemetery, Argonia.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to the City of Argonia, Memo: Cemetery Fund, PO Box 35, Argonia, KS 67004. All donations will be used to make improvements at the cemetery building. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
