Rita Marie (Meyer) Beers, age 72, of Wichita, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025.
Rosary was at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 13, and funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Friday, March 14, both at St. Anthony of Padua’s Catholic Church, 615 N. Main St., Garden Plain.
Rita was always known for her long talks, whether it was sharing a pot of coffee, sitting on the front porch or just a phone call. Her most favorite thing to do was spend time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clem and Marie (Thome) Meyer.
She is survived by her children, Todd (Kelly) Beers of Peyton Colo., and Chet (Niki) Beers of Burden; grandchildren, Madison, Haley, and Kyndall Beers, Blake Craig, and Lainey Beers; and siblings, Bernita (Jerry) Jones, Clarence Meyer, Janice Schieber, Dale (Lisa) Meyer, Ivan Meyer, Glenn Meyer, Glenda Landwehr, Verna (Steve) Ryherd, Doris (Mark) Vogel, Ervin (Judi) Meyer, and Dennis (Janet) Meyer.
