Robb A. Poe, 73, of Wichita, formerly of Milton, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2024 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

Robb was born Jan. 26, 1951, at Harper to Robert Judd Poe and Geneva Grace (Morrison) Poe. He grew up on the family farm near Milton and attended Norwich public schools. He graduated from Norwich High School with the class of 1969 and later continued his education at Hutchinson Junior College.

Robb entered the U.S. Air Force on April 8, 1971, but was medically discharged on Oct. 25, 1971.

He was united in marriage to Sue Kraus on Sept. 4, 1971, at Milton, and to this union a daughter, Kristi Lea, was born May 24, 1976. He later married Karen Garrett on July 18, 1987.

Robb established his own company working in the audio/visual industry his entire life. He had lived and worked in Kansas, Oklahoma and Colorado, and eventually moved his family to Goddard in 1993.

Robb moved to Texas in 2013 after accepting a new job and to be near his grandson. Soon after, he was diagnosed with kidney disease and was a transplant recipient in February 2015. Robb returned to Kansas in 2018. Unfortunately, in 2022, his new kidneys failed, and he was again placed on dialysis.

Robb was a member of the First Baptist Church, Milton, and was a third degree mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Kim Poe.

Robb is survived by his daughter, Kristi Poe Trahan and husband Jeffrey of Laurel Bloomery, Tenn.; one adopted son, Wesley Poe of Eucha, Okla.; five siblings, Leann Taylor of Norwich, Debra Meeks and husband Billy of Nevada, Texas, Kirk Poe and wife Lorna of Milton, Kelly Poe of Haysville, and Kip Poe and wife Carol of Norwich; one grandson, Kaleb Trahan; and a number of other relatives and friends.
