Rodney Loehr
Rodney Lee Loehr, 68, died Friday (July 7, 2023) at the Ascension Via Christi Medical Center-St.
Francis Campus in Wichita following a sudden heart attack.
He was born on May 24, 1955, in Wichita, the son of John Lester and Martha Marie Hilger Loehr.
Rodney was raised in the Haven area.
After leaving high school, he enlisted in the U. S. Air Force and later served in the U.S. Army.
He married Robin Gale Whittle on Dec. 6, 1986, in Mt. Hope.
Rodney had worked for Loehr Dry Wall in Garden Plain and Red Guard in Wichita.
Survivors include his wife, Robin, of the home in Conway Springs; children, Jessica Pearce and Joe Loehr; brothers, Mark Loehr, Hal Loehr, and wife Ruth, Tim Loehr and wife Pat, and Troy Loehr and wife Janet; sisters, Marla Loehr, Tina Stuhlsatz and husband Fred, and Kristi Lopez and husband Rudy; and seven grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Rodney was preceded in death by his parents; son, Christopher John Pearce; sister, Leslie McElheny; sisterin- law, Bobbi Loehr; and nephew, John Mark Loehr.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 22, at Wes and Jenna Osner’s in Conway Springs, with a luncheon following.
