Taylor Goldsmith
Born on Feb. 23, 1993, in Wichita, Taylor was the cherished son of Steve and Jessie Goldsmith. He graduated from Cheney High School in 2011 and continued his education at Wichita State University, where he pursued his passion for track and field. Following college, Taylor built a dedicated career as a mechanical engineer with Great Plains Industries.
Taylor was a loving, loyal, and steadfast brother to Jennie (Josh) Feiock and John (Audra) Goldsmith, both of Cheney. He was a fun-spirited, deeply adored uncle to Luke, Karlie, Linkin and Ripkin Feiock, as well as Axel and Lena Goldsmith.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Linus and Mary Thome and Dale and Laverna Goldsmith. To his family, his friends, and truly anyone who crossed his path, Taylor was everyone’s best friend – had a heart of gold, generous, and without an enemy in the world.
He embraced life with a joyful and adventurous spirit. Taylor loved singing karaoke, spending days on the lake, fishing, hunting, and cheering loudly as a devoted LSU fan. Above all else, he lived every minute with gratitude, laughter, and love. He was the person who would do anything for anyone, always placing others before himself.
Taylor will be forever remembered for his gentle heart, his bright smile, and the unwavering love he held for his family – his greatest priority and deepest pride. His absence leaves an ache that can never be filled, but his memory will continue to shine in the lives of all who loved him.
He will be missed beyond measure.
Recitation of the rosary will be said at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20, and the funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, both at St. Rose Catholic Church.
