Zula Belle Harding, 96, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on Oct. 1, 2024. 
She was born Nov. 8, 1927, to Lawrence and Edna Weaver in Whiting, Kan. She was married to Dean
Harding on Aug. 3, 1952. They had two children, sons Bill Harding (Jean) of Houston, Texas, and Rob Harding of Atlanta, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Ted and Phil Weaver; and sister Lee Czajkowski. Survivors include her brother, Jerry Weaver; her two sons; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Zula graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University in 1951. She then moved to Cheney, where she taught English and was Cheney High School’s librarian for nearly 40 years. 
Visitation will be held at Wulf-Ast Mortuary in Garden Plain from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7. Funeral service will be held at Trinity United Christian Church, in Cheney, at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, followed by a graveside service at Pioneer Cemetery.
