Claude Allen of Haysville passed away on Feb. 27, 2025, at the age of 91.
Claude was born on July 4, 1933, in Southwest City, Mo. He was the sixth of 12 children born to James “Jim” and Edrie Allen. Shortly after his 18th birthday, Claude was drafted into the United States Army. Claude proudly served his country and was honorably discharged after two years of service. Claude went on to work at Boeing and retired after 30-plus years of dedication.
Those closest to him knew Claude to be compassionate, hard-working and family oriented. He will be deeply missed by his wife of nearly 70 years, Evelyn Allen; siblings, Bob and Mattie; his children, Darrell (Ann), and Pam (Scott); his grandchildren, Amanda (Alex), Rhiannon, Clayton and Lauryn; and great-grandchildren, Failyn and Cody. Claude will be remembered by countless extended family members and friends.
Claude was preceded in death by his parents, James “Jim” and Edrie Allen; and siblings Charlie, Blanche, Chester, Louella, Eldon, Kay and Emma.
Visitation will be 1-7 p.m., with the family present from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 4, and funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, both at Shinkle Mortuary in Haysville.
