Nancy Kay Klausmeyer, 75, of Argonia, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, at her residence.

Nancy was born June 27, 1951, in Wichita to Donald Leon Gorges and Marie Bertha (Pauly) Gorges. She grew up on a farm near Clonmel and attended St. John’s Catholic School. She graduated from Clearwater High School with the class of 1969. She continued her education and received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Wichita State University.

Nancy was united in marriage to James Lee Klausmeyer on July 18, 1970., at Clonmel. They made their first home in Wichita for five years before moving to a farm five miles northeast of Conway Springs. In 1999, they moved to their home east of Argonia.

Nancy worked in bookkeeping and accounting first for Mid-American Credit Union and Catholic Family Federal Credit Union. She later worked at several other firms before retiring from Infosync in 2015.

Nancy was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Conway Springs, and the Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Jim Klausmeyer; one son, Zachary Klausmeyer of Wellington; three brothers, David Gorges of Marysville, Tenn., Donald Gorges of Peck, and Kenneth Gorges of Clonmel, Kansas; two sisters, Judy Santille of Oklahoma City; Jane Klausmeyer of Conway Springs; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Rosary will be at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, both at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Clonmel. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Conway Springs. Arrangements were by Ebersole Mortuary, Conway Springs. Online guestbook and condolences are available at www.ebersolemortuary.com.
