SUMNER COUNTY – The annual Sumner County 4-H Fair, sponsored by K-State Extension-Sumner County, will take place next week in Wellington. Things get underway on Tuesday with consultative judging for state events.

Starting in 2024, State football championship games will take place at just three sites, with three games played at each site on Thanksgiving weekend.

City hall turns to new bill pay system CONWAY SPRINGS – Members of the Conway Springs City Council got some good news last week – the new Nexbill payment system is getting positive response and people are already signing up to use it. “It’s going really well,” said deputy city clerk and treasurer Beth Crick.

TSnews CLEARWATER – At the Clearwater City Council meeting on Tuesday, June 13, Mayor Burt Ussery moved to fill the council seat left vacant when Tex Titterington was killed in a May 28 car crash. Ussery appointed Shirley Palmer-Witt, a real estate agent with previous experience as a council member.
